A memorial page you write yourself while you still can, permanently hosted and reachable through a weatherproof QR memory marker.
Most people finish in a single afternoon. You can continue adding to it for as long as you like; it will be ready the moment your family needs it.

- Hosted memorial page written entirely in the author's own words, accessible via QR code
- Physical memory marker shipped to the door (weatherproof, attaches to headstones, urns, benches and garden stones)
- 9 guided sections covering childhood, coming of age, the life you built, your relationships, beliefs, proudest moments, world events that shaped your generation, and a personal letter to your family
- Contributor invites: invite family or friends to add their own memories; author approves each one before anything is published
- Living guestbook: after the author passes, visitors who scan the memory marker can leave a note or memory

Price
$149.99 one-time payment (founding author price, available through March 2027). The regular price is $199.99. There is no subscription, no renewal fee, and no recurring charge of any kind.
People invited as contributors receive 10% off their own Afterword.
How gifting works
The buyer pays once and enters the recipient's name and email. The recipient gets an email to claim their page and begin writing. The gift giver does not write the page for them.

How contributors work
While building their page, the author can invite family members, friends or colleagues to write their own memory or tribute. Contributors write in their own voice. The author approves or declines each contribution before anything is published. Unsubmitted contributions at the time of the author's passing are never published.
Permanence and data export
Hosting is included in the one-time price. There are no subscriptions or renewals. Per the Terms of Service, if the service ever ends, Afterword will provide at least 120 days advance notice and a data-export mechanism. The memory marker URL will remain active or be redirected.
